HOW WE CAN HELP

Treatments for immigrants, and South Asians in particular, are usually quite general but they do not have to be. Perhaps one of the most pressing problems associated with the stigma in certain immigrant communities is the fact that potential patients have issues opening up to those unfamiliar with their struggles. MannMukti is committed to advocating for alternatives for South Asians who may not feel as comfortable opening up to someone outside their community base.

This research tab talks specifically about this issue by including general research on treatment options for new immigrants, the interactions between members of ethno-religious communities in addressing mental health, and finally, mental health professionals that can cater to the needs of those with different cultural backgrounds.
